Visiting the gurdwara for the first time — head covering, langar etiquette

Scarves are available at the door, everyone sits on the floor as equals, and yes — you should absolutely stay for langar. The customs that matter and the worries you can drop.

Cover your head, remove shoes, and accept the karah prasad with both hands. In the langar hall, sit in the rows, eat what's served (seconds are encouraged), and know that helping wash dishes afterward is the most welcome thing a guest can do.
